Neodymium rare earth magnets, the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available are utilised in the Lyra II's dynamic driver. This powerful and compact magnet provides the magnetic field for the voice coil's operation. With each individual earphone - Left and Right - carefully tuned and tested, the Lyra II delivers a superior musical experience.
Being the first to use a Beryllium PVD dynamic driver in an earphone is the original Lyra. The new Lyra II goes a step beyond, and is the first earphone to be housed in a liquid metal enclosure. The liquid alloy metal offers superior mechanical strength, with excellent damping and vibration characteristics. It also features extraordinary toughness, resisting scratches, dents and even chemical corrosion; all of that and it is environmental and human friendly!
Lyra II is offered with a PVD finish in a colour referred to as 'Dusk'. The design of the new liquid alloy metal line offers an easy to wear size and comfortable shape. The housing is extremely durable and ready to stand up to demanding daily use. The cable wraps around the ear for a secure fit and accessory earphone tips provide tailored fit.
Custom Beryllium Copper MMCX eliminates the traditional shortcomings of the connection and harnesses all of its benefits. Beryllium Copper provides a robust mating mechanism; one that is typically made from soft brass. This selection of a harder material extends the life of the component and the earphone. Mating pins will not wear out, making replacing or upgrading earphone cable easy.
