Astell&Kern collaborates with Jerry Harvey Audio for the Siren Series Universal fit IEMs. This series of IEMs were designed to be used as a Mastering reference tool because the high drivers are designed for optimum top end extension with minimal distortion, the mid drivers are perfectly flat from 10Hz to 5kHz, and the low drivers are designed for steeper low pass and with virtually no distortion.
Second in the line-up is the Layla II, equipped with the SoundrIVe Technology, this pair of IEMs uses Jerry Harvey Audio's proprietary quad drivers. Featuring a 12BA-driver configuration, the Layla II has quad low, quad mid and quad high drivers on each side, offering the widest frequency range you'll ever hear. Utilising FreqPhase Technology and Stainless Steel Tube Waveguide, the FreqPhase corrects time and phase of multiple drivers, while the WaveGuide ensures each driver signal arrives within 0.01 milliseconds, resulting in a phase coherent IEM.
The Layla II utilises a 4-pin cable connection with a machined aluminium locking collar, providing a more secure and strong connection with the earpiece, and also protecting it from sweat and dust. Each body, cap and sound bore are machined from one solid block of aluminium with carbon fiber logo plate insert.
Adjustable from the cable is a variable bass output. Low frequency drivers are user-controlled, with an adjustable bass (0 - +13dB); frequency ranges from flat bass response up to +10dB (10Hz to 100Hz).
